Philodendron verrucosum is a popular member of the philodendron family. This climbing species is native to high elevation rainforest (650-200m) in central America in countries such as Nicaragua, Panama and Costa Rica. Easy to care for in a high humidity environment such as a reptile or amphibian enclosure it is equally popular  and sought after by houseplant enthusiasts. As it grows this species will reach up towards the light so can easily be grown up backgrounds and solid objects in the enclosure like branches. It is well suited to enclosures for everything from crested geckos, to green tree pythons or dart frogs, the options are endless. This is not a species that we come across regularly but will enhance any enclosure it is used in.
