Foliage plants tend to be those of which have denser leaf population, large green growth or broad leaf surface area. They are general multipurpose plants for adding mid height living structure to your enclosures and dense cover in some cases, many of these plants would form part of the understory in their native environments and are perfect for terrestrial, semi arboreal and the lower tier of arboreal enclosures.
