Midline Knobtailed geckos (Nephrurus vertebralis) are one of the smaller smooth knobtailed gecko species native to Western Australia. Similar in care to all the other Knobtails they are a docile and hardy species. Very rare in captive collections worldwide they are even rarer in the UK. We are currently the only breeders for this species in the UK. They are easy to care for, similar in care to the popular leopard geckos in terms of environmental parameters. They are purely insectivorous in terms of diet and they would often be found in amongst termite mounds in the wild. They will actively dig burrows so by keeping the substrate slightly damp and at least 3-4 inches deep this will allow them to dig their own burrows in captivity.
