P. terribilis originate from the rainforests of Columbia. They are most famous for being the dart frog species which produces Batrachotoxin which is widely considered to be the most potent toxin known to man. It is now thought they synthesize this toxin by eating a certain species of poisonous beetle and therefore they do not contain the toxin when bred in captivity. They are very bold in character and are considered to be one of the most intelligent amphibians, with the ability to distinguish between different people.
These are the black footed orange morph, they are an established adult group of 3 males and 2 females.
