The Centralian Knob tailed gecko is the largest of the knob tailed geckos which are a group of small species native to arid regions in Australia. There are several different species of knob tailed that all share the same small ‘ball or knobble’ on the tip of their tail for which the purpose isn’t clearly understood although it may act as a lure or distraction as they will often wiggle it rapidly when hunting. Like many of the Australian gecko species they have always been rare and expensive but thanks to continued efforts by specialist gecko breeders they are growing in popularity. This species is known for being one of the most sought after and desirable of all gecko species for specialist gecko enthusiasts. generally easy to care for and quite laid back, if startled they will adopt a puffed up posture and repeatedly perform a press up motion with their whole body while making a growling chip type noise.
These are all bred here in store from multiple different European bloodlines that we have been working with since 2020.
