Calci worms are the larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illuscens). They are naturally very high in calcium, proteins and fats.

They have long been popular in the USA as a feeder insect under the brand names of ‘phoenix worms’ or ‘Soldier grubs’.

To prolong lifespan store them somewhere cool, if they pupate into the adult soldier flies there can still be fed to your pets and the flies are very readily eaten by most species of Chameleon.
