Viellard's Chameleon gecko is a close relative of the popular crested geckos and gargoyle geckos. They are a very close relative of Bauer's Chameleon Gecko (Eurydactylodes agricolae) but much less commonly seen in captivity. Their captive husbandry is identical to Bauer's and the ever-popular Crested Gecko; but their smaller size means a smaller enclosure size can be used. They are unusual both in appearance and behaviour, what these geckos lack in size they certainly make up for in character. In the wild they would be found in low shrubs and are adept climbers. They are a laid back species that become very tame.
