This large Bird Eater originates from the Campino-Grande region of northern Brazil it is a member of the Lasiodora Genus of Tarantula which provides some of the largest Tarantulas in the world. The Salmon Pink is the worlds second largest Tarantula behind the Goliath Bird-eater (Theraphosa blondi). The salmon pink is a brown spider with pink hairs and grows up to 25cm. This species has a reputation of being aggressive but in fact many individuals are quite placid. If you intend to breed this species beware they have up to 1500 spiderlings.
