Royal Pythons originate
from West Africa, they are found in dry forests and scrub land areas. In the
wild they will hide in old rodent burrows and use it as an ambush point for
prey that might reuse the burrow. They are known to be picky eaters in
captivity, however they are the least aggressive snake available. Once they are
established they will make a hardy and tame pet.
