Royal Pythons originate from West Africa where they are found in scrub and dry forest areas. In the wild they often seek refuge in unused rodent burrows where they will sit and wait in ambush for prey to appear. Known to be picky feeders in captivity they are probably the least aggressive snake available in the hobby. Once they are established they make a hardy and tame pet.
