Lucky Reptile Desert bedding is a sand/soil/clay mix that is very similar to the soil type found in many of the world’s arid areas where ‘desert reptiles’ live. The high clay content makes it ideal for burrowing and it makes a good nesting substrate for species such as bearded dragons to lay eggs in. When used as a deep layer (more than 3in/10cm deep) the lower level will remain moist while the surface dries out making a perfect substrate for burrowing species of geckos and other lizards.
