Locusts (Schistocerca gregaria) are a fantastic food source for many reptiles and amphibians. They make no noise and grow to a larger size than crickets making them ideal for larger animals. Nutritionally they are similar to crickets but have a higher fat content, we gut load all our locusts on fresh greens before sending them out so that they are ready to use from the moment they arrive.
Approximate Nutritional Content: Dry Mass Percentage 37.8%, (following values as a percentage of dry mass) Protein percentage 59.9%, Fat Percentage 23.4%
