Golden Tailed geckos are a small species originating from Australia. Being part of the Strophurus genus they have the ability to squirt a sticky mucous from their tail as a defensive strategy to deter predators. With dark spots, red eyes and a lovely golden stripe on the tail they are a truly stunning gecko species. Relatively easy to care for they are an arboreal species from a semi-arid environment, they will appreciate periodic misting to provide water droplets to drink. A slightly more unusual gecko species they are suitable for a dedicated beginner or someone of intermediate experience.
