The Mosaic Plant (Fittonia albivenis) is an attractive popular low growing terrarium plant that grows across the floor creating a carpet. This species does however grow quite slowly. This species is relatively hardy and is able to survive at a wide array of temperatures if kept in damp soil, in order to grow well it requires relatively high humidity, with regular watering and very high levels of light. It makes perfect ground cover for a terrestrial amphibian set up. The leaves are green with a variegated vein pattern.
