If you are looking for a Day Gecko Kit, who better to get it from than the company who breed the largest selection of Day Geckos in the UK. Our in store team have over 60 years of experience in keeping and breeding reptiles, have been keeping and breeding Day Geckos since 2003 and in that time have bred over 15 different species of Day Gecko. This Kit is customisable for many species of Day Geckos but can also be used for other arboreal lizards with requirements for a daytime basking site and moderate humidity levels. Do consider that you will want to use the larger sized enclosures for the larger species, the smaller enclosures are only suitable for the smallest day gecko species.

This Day Gecko kit has been put together by our in store team, so there is no better kit on the market. Not every animal is the same, nor is every home where the animal will be kept the same. This is why we provide the widest range of customisable kit options anywhere in the UK to make sure every kit can be tailored specifically to meet both the keeper and pets’ requirements.

Standard Kit Contents: (full set up instructions with diagrams are always provided)

Housing – The standard Glass Terrarium included is the Habistat 45cm x 45cm x 60cm high. However, there are a variety of brands and sizes for you to choose from.

Lighting - Arcadia Pro T5 Shade Dweller 8W 7%

Heating – Arcadia 14cm Ceramic Clamp Lamp fitting + Arcadia Solar Basking Flood bulb + Habistat digital day and night dimming thermostat

Supplements - Arcadia Earth Pro A 100g + Repashy Superfoods Crested Gecko Diet 84g (also readily eaten by day geckos)

Options and Upgrades:

1.     Glass enclosure Size / Brand, choose your preferred enclosure

2.     Cabinet – Exo Terra Cabinets are available which fit both the Exo Terra enclosures and the Habistat enclosures, they are available in 3 sizes, 45cm wide, 60cm wide or 90cm wide.

3.     UVB Lighting kit – You can have the standard Arcadia 8w Shade Dweller Unit or upgrade to the cutting edge lumenIZE range which will do automatic dawn and dusk cycles (we highly recommend these kits). We also have larger light units with more powerful UVB output available if you are selecting the larger enclosures and need a longer light unit.

4.     Thermostat – You may want even greater control over your heating to be able to provide varying temperatures throughout the day so we also offer an upgrade to any of the 3 Microclimate Evo Connected range, these are the most advanced thermostats on the market.

5.     Décor Selection – We provide two sizes of décor packs suitable to instantly kit out your enclosure, the contents of the décor packs can be seen here, they work out much cheaper than purchasing individual decorations.

6.     Live Plant / Bioactive Bundles – We would always recommend using live plants with Day Geckos as they will help provide visual barriers / cover and increase the humidity in the enclosure. The bioactive kits will help you take this one step further and create a whole living ecosystem.

7.     Add LED lighting – Led lighting will increase the overall brightness within the enclosure but it will also work wonders for plant growth so we would definitely recommend these when using live plants. Options are available for the standard Arcadia Jungle Dawn Bar or the LuminIZEversions of the Jungle Dawn LED Bar to give you that natural dawn and dusk cycle.

Automatic Misting System – take the trouble out of regular mistings by using an automated system, the user friendly Rainmaker system from Habistat or the market leading option from MistKing are both available as additional upgrades.
