The Calathea Plant (Calathea sp) is a common and recognisable house plant that also makes a great terrarium plant. It is relatively hardy and can be used with many different reptile and amphibian species. including (but not limited to) Dart Frogs, Tree Frogs, Crested Geckos, Day Geckos, etc. Native to tropical areas of the Americas. This plant does not require vast amounts of water or light but grows well when provided with such. Due to its hardiness this makes an excellent vivarium plant as it is able to tolerate a wide variety of temperatures, humidity and light levels. 

Very varied, leaves are green with stripes, stripes vary in thickness and colour (green, white, yellow, red, purple),
