Brown Crickets (Gryllus assimilis) are a fantastic feeder insect for reptiles, amphibians, arachnids, birds and even fish. Also often called the 'silent' or 'quiet' cricket these are considerably less noisy than both black field crickets and banded house crickets, only crickets of the large size (with wings) can make any chirping all of the other sizes should be free from chirping as they wont yet have their wings.
