A new species recentely described an re-discovered species named in honour of Dr Ivan Sazima. These are found on a unique ecological island, a habitat high upon tabletop mountains which have a greater rainfall and different soils than the immediately surrounding area. A beautiful iridescent blue tarantula and the most exiting species to enter the hobby in 2012 and likely to be one of the most sort after species for the next couple of years. Sometimes called Sazima's Tarantula; these are a terrestrial species that require 60 to 70% humidity and temperatures of 20 to 24C. They grow relatively slowly and reach a maximum leg span of 16cm. Due to this being a new species in the hobby the life expectancy currently remains unknown.
