Also known as a 'Pixie' frog due to their Latin name, this is a large species of frog with males sometimes exceeding 2kg in weight. This is also the species often seen on wildlife documentaries, where the male digs a channel to move tadpoles from one pool to another. Males are larger than females when adult. Easy to care for and robust, it is wiorth remembering though that these frogs will need a large terrestrial enclosure when adult.
