Dwarf sand geckos are a pleasure to care for in captivity. They are easy to maintain, interesting to watch, and mature to a small size as adults which means that they can be kept in small enclosures. They are native to dry arid areas of the middle east and northern Africa. This species can be kept communally, a group of 2 males and 4 females in a 36inch vivarium makes a great display enclosure with separate rocky outcrops to allow them to make small individual territories. They need a background temperature of 25C, a hotspot of 35C and a drastic night time drop.
