Cissus striata, also known as miniature grape vine is an evergreen climber native to Uraguay and many other parts of South America. Capable of tollerating a wide variety of environmental parameters it is an ideal candidate as a creeper in many styles of terrarium. Quick to grow under optimal conditions the plant can even tolerate sub zero temperatures in its native environment. Often this plant requires support if it is to creep up objects but will form excellent ground cover unaided. A close relative of the larger leaved boston / virginia creepers this is a hardy creeping plant suitable for a wide variety of enclosures.
